SquishPop Word Duel
Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
SquishPop Word Duel is a pass-the-phone word game from MD Studios LLC. This policy explains how the current iOS and TestFlight version handles information, including when a parent opens optional VIP purchase features.
At a glance
- Game profiles and progress stay on your device. You do not need an online SquishPop account to play.
- The current version has no live advertising network, online chat, public profiles, or online AI word validation.
- Optional VIP features connect to Apple and RevenueCat after the parent area is opened and the purchase-service notice is continued.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app behavioral advertising.
Game profiles and local play
SquishPop stores the profile name or nickname you enter, chosen avatar, squishy collection, coins, match statistics, progress counters, settings, and cached VIP access on the device. Use a nickname instead of a child's full name.
During ordinary gameplay and the purchase flow, we do not upload local profiles, collections, or game words to a SquishPop server or attach them to RevenueCat purchase records. Screenshots or messages you voluntarily send as feedback may include game content. The current game does not request access to contacts, a microphone, a camera, or precise location. Your operating system's device-backup settings may include app data in backups that you control.
Optional VIP purchases and restores
VIP is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. When a parent continues to VIP options, the app connects to Apple and RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider, to display prices, validate transactions, provide VIP access, and restore purchases.
RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement history and a randomly generated app user identifier. Network requests also expose connection information such as an IP address; purchase services process app, platform, storefront, and currency information needed to provide the service. A random identifier is not the same as collecting no information.
We use purchase records to operate VIP, prevent purchase fraud, restore access, and understand purchase activity through RevenueCat's dashboard. The app does not send local player names, avatars, or collections as customer attributes. Automatic advertising-attribution identifier collection is disabled in the purchase configuration. We do not use RevenueCat for behavioral advertising.
Apple handles payment information. SquishPop does not receive your payment-card details. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for their information practices.
Children and parents
SquishPop is designed for family play, including children. Children can play locally without supplying an email address, date of birth, or online account. Purchase features and the external privacy link are behind a parent challenge. A parent or guardian should manage purchases and privacy requests.
We do not require a child to disclose personal information to play the local game. If you believe personal information about a child has been sent to us, contact us using the details below. A parent may ask us to review or delete information we hold about their child or stop further collection. We may request only the information reasonably needed to verify and act on the request.
zAIa and advertising
zAIa, our word-validation character, uses her offline fallback in this version. Game words are not sent to an online AI provider. Ad-related reward screens currently simulate a delay; they do not load ads from an advertising network.
We will update this policy and provide any required notices or consent choices before introducing online word validation, advertising services, or other materially different data uses. This policy does not describe those planned services as active.
TestFlight testing
For beta versions distributed through TestFlight, Apple collects crash logs and usage information and shares them with us. Depending on how you join the test, this can include your name and email address, device and operating-system details, app version, sessions, and crashes. Feedback you submit can include comments and screenshots.
We use beta information to diagnose problems, respond to feedback, and improve SquishPop. We do not share TestFlight information with third parties. Please keep children's names and other personal details out of screenshots and feedback. See TestFlight & Privacy for Apple's full explanation and retention practices.
Support and this policy website
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve your request. Please do not send a child's personal information unless it is needed for a privacy request.
Cloudflare hosts this policy page and processes network information, such as IP address and request information, to deliver and protect it. This page contains no advertising, analytics scripts, forms, or tracking cookies added by MD Studios. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Sharing and international processing
We use Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and our email service to provide the functions described above. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or protect legal rights. TestFlight information is handled subject to Apple's restrictions described above.
Retention and deletion
Local profiles remain on your device until the app's data is removed. On iOS, deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app can preserve it. Backups may retain copies under your device or backup-provider settings. Removing local data does not delete Apple transaction records or revoke an existing VIP purchase.
Purchase and entitlement records are retained while needed to provide and restore VIP access, resolve transaction issues, prevent fraud, or meet legal and accounting requirements. We do not retain purchase records to build advertising profiles. You may request deletion of records we control, subject to necessary legal retention. Deleting purchase-management records can affect our ability to restore or support VIP access.
Support messages and beta feedback are kept only while needed to resolve the request, investigate the reported issue, or meet applicable legal requirements, and are then deleted. Apple's and other providers' own records are governed by their policies. We do not have remote access to erase profiles stored only on your device.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can keep playing without opening VIP options, avoid sending support or beta feedback, remove local app data, and use your Apple settings to manage purchases and backups. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we control, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to make a request or raise a concern. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
Security and updates
We limit the information the app sends and use encrypted HTTPS connections for purchase-service requests. No device, storage system, or network transmission is completely secure.
We will update this page when information practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy. Material changes affecting children will receive any additional notice and consent required before the new collection or use begins.
